Dr. Wing Fa Oliver Chan has been invited to deliver a community footwear-fit education session for older adults in London in November 2026.

Healthy Ageing Starts from the Feet will focus on the importance of wearing correctly sized and appropriately fitting footwear. Participants will learn practical ways to check whether their footwear is appropriately sized and to recognise common signs of poor fit.

A practical Fit Assessment will complement the educational session, helping participants better understand the fit of their current footwear. The activity will also raise awareness of the relationship between footwear fit, comfort, stability and fall risk among older adults.
